Ceramic Glazes and Clay Slips
The antimicrobial additive rep-L can be added to the glaze slip also containing water. This forms a new and useful antimicrobial ceramic coating that can impart antimicrobial characteristics in a wide range of products. Furthermore, this antimicrobial ceramic coating is compatible with existing ceramic production processes.
Cleaners
rep-L provides an extra layer of protection when combined with water or solvent based cleaners. The additives will impart antimicrobial properties which will facilitate cleaning and ensure the eradication of bacteria, even superbugs.
Coatings
Instead of doping a surface directly, antimicrobial activity can be imparted to a surface by applying a coating containing antimicrobial rep-L. The Antimicrobial properties last for the lifetime of the coating, as long as the coating is completely intact.
Drywall
rep-L’s antimicrobial additive can be added to eliminate the build-up of bacteria, fungi and mold on drywall. It can be added to the paper and additionally into the gypsum.
Filters
Antibacterial filters trap and inhibit the growth of airborne mold and microbes that can cause fouling of the filters. Antimicrobial additive rep-L can be introduced to the filter material through dipping or spray and will provide a long term barrier to bacterial build-up.
Floor Wax Emulsions
Antimicrobial additive rep-L provides the antibacterial effect as soon as a coat of wax is applied. The wax provides an excellent barrier, preventing the bacteria from reaching the underlying substrate. Fuel
The build-up of bacterial in vehicle fuel tanks is a constant problem. Large storage tanks and pipeline also have bacterial problems which can all be reduced significantly with the addition of rep-L antimicrobial additive.
